Bible Biscuit

Every Tuesday morning at 8:00 a dedicated group meets to eat breakfast and study the scripture lessons for the following Sunday. Sharing a meal provides a time for fun and fellowship, and sharing God’s Word provides a time to connect with each other on a deeper level. At the conclusion of the study, the group comes up with the sermon title for the following Sunday. An offering is taken each week and it goes into the “Good Samaritan Fund” – a discretionary fund that our pastor uses to meet urgent needs of individuals and families within our congregation and in our community.
The “Bible and Biscuiteers” also serve! This group provided the coordination for sponsoring a refugee family – a Montagnard family from Viet Nam. Funds for the family’s resettlement expenses were raised through a yard sale organized by this group. On Shrove Tuesday, the Bible and Biscuit folks are often found in the CLC kitchen preparing a pancake supper. God’s work. Our hands!
